Happy Accident!

Both my mom and Brandon got me The Original of Laura for Christmas. I had previously mentioned that I wanted two of the book! Super awesome. My mom also bought me As I Lay Dying and Manhood for Amateurs. No Proust but I’m so overjoyed by Brandon’s gift of a first edition Franny and Zooey that I could get kicked in the face and this would still be the best Christmas ever.

Anyone else get super awesome books/writing presents?

As I Lay Dying is fucking awesome. And don’t read Proust until you find yourself in a sort-of-hopeless emotional situation. (And buy it in french, if possible).

I hated As I Lay Dying, but that’s just me. I got a Kindle for Christmas! Every book I ever wanted.
