The Cover is Everything

I love this cover and this title.IMG00156

I don’t get why books change their covers to reflect scenes from the movie after a book has been made into a movie. They did this with The Lovely Bones and that was a beautiful cover (even if it did have that hideous Tiffany Blue that all chic lit loves to don). If anything, the movie’s promotional items should reflect the cover!

Ugh:

Lovely Bones

OH! I can’t believe they changed the cover to Lovely Bones!!! The charm bracelet was great and so sweet!

yea, I don’t always love when they do that. However, I have been known to re-purchase a book once the movie was made because I wanted the movie edition cover because of a favorite actor/actress. Like, Atonement. I totally went for the movie edition.

But I do also wish that Hollywood would go with the book cover as their movie posters. Or something similar. I understand why they don’t though.

I too avoid movie editions. The Alice Sebold covers are elegant in their simplicity.
